I am writing to you to update you on the situation with regard to Rhino-Rack’s ability to meet the needs of the market.
Six weeks ago, we started a weekly audit of our supply chain and the status of every order we need to continue to supply product. We have seen a few instances where supply has been interrupted for a short period of time and we have had to take actions such as air freight to overcome those shortages. We are seeing that the situation in China is easing and we expect fewer problems as we move forward. We are planning to continue to monitor the situation every week for some period of time until the emergency passes in both our local and overseas supply chains.
We have put in place protocols to protect our employees. We are communicating every week with our employees to support them and to ensure that we have a healthy work force capable of meeting the needs of our production schedule. We have been working overtime in the last month to ensure we have as much of our componentry converted into finished goods as we can. This will give us the best chance of keeping our service levels high through this time of uncertainty.
Rhino-Rack appreciates very much, the continued support that it receives from our customer base. We think that in this time of uncertainty that the level of communication between us must increase and in this regard, we are asking our Sales team to be ever more active in understanding your needs and getting that information back to our planning team.
Rhino-Rack hopes that your all employees stay healthy through this difficult time, and we hope that we can all get through this crisis without any of our families losing loved ones.
With my very best wishes,
Rob Guttentag,
CEO.
