The Rhino-Rack Backbone will allow the mounting of a Rhino-Rack Pioneer system to the roof of your Ford Ranger XL, Ford Ranger XLT and Ford Ranger Lariat. Securing to your vehicles roof using 3 sets of mounting bases, allows for efficient weight distribution while maximizing load carrying capacity.

This new system is stylish and aerodynamically designed to minimize wind drag and noise on the road. The Pioneer Platform 42100BF is our recommended fit for a platform. This Backbone and Pioneer Platform system is compatible with our entire Rhino-Rack Pioneer accessory range. Whether you want to carry a bike, jerry can, or add a luggage box – this system is the ultimate load carrying solution for your vehicle.

With a competitive roof weight and a static weight allowance of 737lb, this roof rack solution is ideal for both laborers and avid overlanders and tourers. The complete system – including the racks and Pioneer system - weighs in at only a mere 56lb! This rack system should only take around 1.5 hours to install and mount to our RTS525 tracks once they are installed on your Ford Ranger.
