With summer in full swing, there’s no better time to start thinking about awnings. After all, summer is all about time spent outdoors – whether hanging out on the beach, exploring paths less travelled or cooking up an epic family BBQ – which we can all agree, is a lot more enjoyable with a little shade and shelter. Rhino-Rack’s new Batwing range has you covered (quite literally) with plenty of protection for your summer adventures, along with many other benefits. Check out these nifty new features.
If you’re off on an Aussie adventure, the likelihood is, at some point, you’ll come across salt water, sunshine and the bush. Along with enough shade for the whole family (270 degrees worth!), the latest Batwing adds an extra layer of protection from Australia’s wilderness with a new and improved CPAI-84 compliant (fire standard), rust and mould-resistant ripstop fabric that’s extra tough for your upcoming adventures. Similarly to our original Batwings, the cover is rated UPF 50+ for that extra sun safety and peace of mind.
Our Batwings have always been easy to set up, but the latest addition of the Stow It Awning Adaptor and Base Bracket makes setting up and packing down a walk in the park. The kit also includes the Zwifloc channel nuts for added flexibility, allowing you to drop the accessory anywhere in the channel. On top of that, the newest Batwings comes with two straps (instead of three), making access that much easier.
As the name suggests, here at Rhino-Rack we like to make our gear tough as nails, ready to tackle adventures for years to come. Our Batwings have always been crafted with heavy-duty materials, but the new Batwing takes resilience up a notch. Expect stronger knuckles, updated diamond patches for reduced wear and tear, and a tab upgrade to help keep that water running off. When it comes to packing it up, the upgraded bag adds an extra layer of waterproofing – perfect for those stormy days or wild adventures.
The following Batwing variants will be available in early 2023
