Add the Backbone Mounting System for an award-winning custom LandCruiser solution
The Rhino-Rack Backbone in conjunction with the Pioneer Platform has been paired for the ultimate overland experience. This ultimate combination called the Pioneer Platform with Rhino-Rack Backbone (JC-01496) has been specifically designed to complement and follow the contours of the Landcruiser 300’s roof. The result? A decked out LandCruiser crafted for the ultimate adventure.
Taking into account the vehicle manufacturer's loading limits, we have ensured this product pair is made from strong and durable materials that allow for maximum carrying capacity. In addition, it features 100 per cent load capacity and has been tried and tested in the harshest of conditions, proving its reliability.
This stylish duo – which offers a seamless integration – is compatible with the LandCruiser 300 GX, GXL, VX, Sahara, Sahara ZX and GR Sport.

Combining the Pioneer Platform with the SX Vortex Legs is another versatile setup option for light off-road use, ideal for travellers, cyclists, surfers or tradespeople. This roof rack system comes in two sizes – Pioneer Platform with SX Vortex Legs (JB1220) (1528mm X 1376mm) and Pioneer Platform with SX Vortex Legs (JB1305) (1928mm x 1376mm) – and is quick and easy to install and remove, allowing you to easily change your vehicle’s setup. If you’re looking for a cross bar solution, the Vortex SX Black 2 Bar Roof Rack (JA9143) is also available for the LandCruiser 300.

In fact, with our long-standing relationship with Toyota, we are constantly innovating our Pioneer Platform and Backbone systems to be as adventure-proof as possible.
Shape
In keeping with Rhino-Rack’s long-standing ties with Toyota, the intention of this product was to create a visual bridge between the Rhino-Rack and Toyota brand identity. The whole Backbone has been specifically designed with this relationship in mind. As you can see in the designs, the curvature of the vehicle is mirrored within the Backbone; the contours have been directly lifted from the profile of the roof; the profile of the nose has been informed by the curvature of the windshield; all creating a seamless relationship between the Backbone and the LandCruiser 300.
